Our Approach
1. Targeted Nervous System Care
Your practitioner will combine several modalities to support your shift into a more restful state:
Acupuncture: Combines Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) with neuroscience based point selection. This dual approach draws on traditional meridian theory aimed at supporting restful sleep, while also targeting specific points aimed at helping shift your nervous system into a “rest and digest” state, which supports relaxation before sleep.
Electroacupuncture: Introduces gentle electrical currents directly to these selected points, designed to enhance relaxation by helping calm an overactive stress response, support a better-balanced nervous system, and promote the physical calmness needed for rest.
Remedial Massage: Works on tight muscles and tension linked to stress, easing physical tension and supporting a calmer nervous system before bed.
2. A Full Assessment of Your Sleep Pattern
Where stress, pain, or digestive discomfort are contributing to poor sleep, these are assessed as part of the same plan:
Sleep pattern discussion: Understanding what’s disrupting your sleep, falling asleep, staying asleep, or waking unrested.
Contributing factors: Discussing stress, pain, or other symptoms that may be linked to your sleep difficulty.
3. Long-Term Sleep Care
Working towards a more restful pattern over time:
General lifestyle guidance: Practical suggestions to help calm the nervous system before bed.
Ongoing session guidance: A pace of sessions suited to your individual response.

Common questions
Can acupuncture help me sleep better? There’s a solid and growing body of research into how acupuncture influences the nervous system, including its calming, parasympathetic-supporting effects, and it’s a widely trusted, natural approach that genuinely makes a difference for many people with sleep difficulties. Individual response varies, and your practitioner will discuss a realistic plan at your first visit.
How long before I might notice a difference? This varies depending on how long the sleep difficulty has been present and what’s contributing to it.
