Our Modalities

Eleven clinical tools, one integrated plan. Explore what each involves.

1. Traditional Chinese Acupuncture

The foundation of our practice. Rooted in classical Chinese medicine, it looks at your health as a whole, selecting points along the meridians to suit your individual pattern, working towards better balance, harmony and wellbeing.

2. Modern Acupuncture

Where tradition meets science. Modern acupuncture draws on anatomy, physiology and neuroscience, choosing points linked to muscles, nerves and the nervous system, with the aim of supporting pain management, recovery and overall health and wellbeing.

3. Electroacupuncture

A gentle electrical current, applied through fine needles, used within a neurophysiological framework to help manage pain, ease muscle tension, and support a shift out of a stress response.

4. Dry Needling

Targeted techniques (trigger point, deep, superficial and intramuscular) release stubborn muscle tension and assist localised recovery.

5. Remedial Massage Therapy

From sports recovery to stress relief, tailored hands-on techniques ease tension, encourage circulation, and help the body recover from stiffness and discomfort.

6. Tui Na (TCM) Massage Therapy

A rhythmic, vigorous form of traditional clinical massage that works deep into muscles and joints. It is used alongside acupuncture to stimulate recovery, improve flexibility, and restore vitality.

7. Shockwave Therapy

High-energy acoustic waves are used to address persistent musculoskeletal conditions and chronic pain. This non-invasive tool is particularly effective for tendon issues and calcification.

8. Electro-Cupping Therapy

A modern advancement on traditional cupping. Combining powerful, adjustable suction with micro-currents to better target deep muscle tension, improve circulation, and assist myofascial release.

Practitioner performing Gua Sha therapy on a patient’s back using a smooth-edged tool

9. Gua Sha Therapy

A smooth-edged clinical tool is used to gently stroke the skin, encouraging local blood flow, reducing inflammation, and relieving muscle stiffness. It is widely used for neck, back and shoulder discomfort.

10. Myofascial Cupping

Functional cupping techniques designed to create negative pressure (suction) on the skin and fascia. This helps to decompress tissue, increase mobility, and assist in the management of myofascial pain.
